TTOTT WHEELS GO AROUNDAROTA

TTOTT WHEELS GO AROUNDAROTA

TTOTT WHEELS GO AROUNDAROTA

BALANCING THE EQUATIONS WITH TRIADS.

I view a part of my task in setting up a table of ttott correspondences as providing examples of how the tables can be used to create various effects. Both as study guides into historical, biographical work and as imagination guides into the tale of the tribe, and the new translations.

The triangular structure enables opposing characteristics of mildness and severity a point of resolution and of synthesis, a middle path that may recycle the energies back and around and in so doing balance the opposing forces. The general idea of dividing 30 characters into 10 sets of triangulated groups of three characters, for example, may provide a working model for a rough structure, as would 15 sets of waltzing duo's of opposing forces or a 'coincidance of contraries' as Joyce put it in Finnegans Wake.

GEODESICS

I have developed number systems for working out the new maps, due to the possibility of multi-dimensional models at a latter stage of the project, whereby objects containing various symbols and images can be folded and enfolded. I have already experimented with a TTOTT Dodecahedron of 20 sides and 12 vertices, and in principle, the numbers 30, 60, 90,120 and 150 all render symmetrical objects upon which information may be presented, here I pay tribute to Buckminster Fuller, and Giordano Bruno.

THE TALLY OF THE TRIBE.

The set of 5 wheels I have designed each have 30 'nodes' on their belt of concentric rings. I made them by choosing 5 major categories: Tailors, Theolo, Texts, Teachings, Totems (Human Beings, Spirits, Texts, Principles, Objects).

I have chose to recycle 'T' words and keep a running TTOTT structure to each heading and category I make. The TTOTT logo features four 'T's tilted to create a four way symmetry (+) with a circle placed central. If you pretend to say the word 'T' you'll notice your tongue gets right up on your teeth, and if you make a repeated 'T' sound you may notice that you sound a little like a Hi-Hat cymbal, and, that you can repeat the letter 'T' faster and with more control than possibly any other letter in the English Alphabet? This will have some correspondence to the spoken word and spoken drum components to the class, but also keep the original TTOTT (the tale of the tribe) intact.

Giordano Bruno used the number 30 often when constructing his wheels and wheels within wheels. Although unlike Bruno, my belts are so far only attenuated to the TTOTT matter, and simply borrow the use of the number 30 and the idea of putting lists of things on concentric rings, 5 in total, producing 150 nodes, or images in Bruno's model, that I should add seems incredibly more complex and refined than my wheels. Reading Bruno recently led me to revisit the idea of having 30 things on revolving tables, something I used to anchor some themes in an early edition of my book: World Piss: 30 seals and the spore of the words.

All the characters that follow Bruno chronologically can appear on the wheels that he inspired, together with Giambattista Vico, (another philosopher of the revolutionary hermetic renaissance tradition), the tribal characters can ride the wheel, the turning tables of correspondences, and so unify in that movement, that ever-changing sensibility and decentralized and rotational wisdom. A revolutionary force.

CONNECTING CYCLES AND CIRCUITS

The tale of the tribe must be a connected network, otherwise it is useless. A new team of nodal points, shared swarms that link together. The goal of a hologramic network, a poem, novel, screenplay, album, performing overlapping functions, working together.

The triple spiral symbolizes the rotational and spiral nature of the connected works of Dr. Robert Anton Wilson, the triad or delta that symbolizes femininity and the triple goddess. Vico and Joyce and Nietzsche feed off the spiraling principles of recorsi. Giordano Bruno and his "Memory Wheels" plus Giambattista Vico and his "Cycles of Ages", Frederich Nietzsche and the "Eternal Return", Ernest Fenollosa and the omni-directional radiance of "Chinese Symbolism", William Butler Yeats and his dynamic "Gyres" and "Unity of Being" and 'Symbolism', Ezra Pound and his "Revolutionary Calendar" and 'Ideogramic method of juxtaposition', James Joyce and his spiral powered "coincidance of contraries & resolution of opposites", Buckminster Fuller and the moving "Synergistic" principles. Meanwhile Alfred Korzybski and his "General Semantics", Marshall McLuhan and his "Global Village Tribes", Orson Welles and his "Neurological Cinematic Relativity", Claude Shannon and "Information Theory" and other recurring geniuses and their additional contributions to humanity intersect with connecting threads represented by Dr. Wilson. In my opionion at their most potent when writing on Joyce: the mother-load of compressed hermetic wisdom.

THE TURNING OF THE TRIBE

The new maps and seals I present are a work in progress and as far as I know a unique way of processing the information, and potentially a relatively simple and sharable method for others to conduct similar research.

I would like to present a kind of Top Trumps challenge to create an equally revolutionary belt of innovative thinkers, or simply use any combination of belts on any grouping of things that you may wish, make it new! Bio-seasonal, calendrical, astrological and cosmological belts for example, may add many useful functions, the possibilities are literally endless with this, but I have chose to stack and pack a krewe that I believe represent the tale of the tribe as defined by Dr. Wilson, quite a bunch', to perhaps provide a new platform for collaborative investigations, and new interpretations. Nodes or units of distilled cultural inheritance.

MD is for MCLUHAN'S DREAM: A short story

In the process of my study into the tale of the tribe I have began creating fictional episodes that link I fly agaric with some of the corresponding themes and characters.

The following is a short dream sequence:

Having fun creating some fictional episodes (short tales)
That link I fly agaric icons and themes together.

MCLEAR'S DREAM

Mclear’s father drinks some tea from a chalice, and then climbs a ladder set against a house to fetch down a bright green-toad that's stuck up high on the roof, its the pet toad of his cousin, and, while on his way down he slips on a snake masquerading as a step of a ladder, falls, and crushes his head and crushes the toad in the process. Brains, toad slime, jewels merge together at the foot of the ladder and flies appear.

Mclear’s cousin turns into Alice through the looking glass, and shrinks down to the size of a small rodent, she begins munching on Lotus petals that have suddenly sprung up around Mclear's father/mothers corpse. A fly swoons across the body looking for an entry point, the corpse is wearing a white gown and has formed female breasts.

A bomb comes whistling out of the sky, changing into a figure resembling Cuchulain, a giant with twelve arms, each holding an object: A boomerang, a Robert Johnson 78’ disk, a golden jewel encrusted chalice, a smoking pipe styled into the shape of a toad, a totem pole, a telephone receiver/speaker, a small printing press, calendar, Umbrella, TV set and a Video-Camera. The smoking pipe was in the giants mouth and clouds of smoke drifted up and up forming bigger clouds, nebulous, ten miles high or more.

One cloud takes the form of a giant mushroom and descends back to the scene of the accident pitching itself next to the androgynous corpse. The mushroom then morphs again into a small Santa Claus doll that proceeds to administer coca-cola to the corpse, pouring it up the nostrils and letting it fizz all over the face, the body begins to shake.

[A sudden disturbance in the dream sequence, the dreamer has set his alarm-clock one hour too early this morning, but falls back into the tale.]

Mclear’s father/mother corpse, his cousin and himself were now up and bouncing away from the house, jumping on pogo sticks away from where the toad-corpse ooze had released a green fog of flies into the air that set everybody in the village laughing uncontrollably.

Arriving in a wooded area they eventually stop and slump down onto the ground leaning against a birch tree. Suddenly a wheel rolls out into the clearing in front of them, the wheel has a golden apple lodged inside its hollow. Then, as Mclear recalls his dream, ‘we all eat a small piece of the bright green apple and sit back down under the tree again.

In a flash the dreamer has morphed into a Mushroom, stood right in the spot where Mclear once sat. His Father/mother corpse had transformed into a fruit fly and his cousin Mary changed from the image of his grandmother to a toad, who also sits right where she once sat in the wooded clearing.

At this point Mclear describes the sense of an eternity passing, then a jumping muddle of perceptions between the three shape-shifters, triangulated in their sitting positions. The mushroom had only single sight via a tiny periscope inside a white wart, but it released a constant humming sound like a tribal drum in his head when it looked at the fly and the toad looking at back at him.

Suddenly Mclear experienced total ESP with the others, plus he felt a presence coming from the trees and the foliage and the leaves; a low chatter beneath the canopy, they sat motionless, in awe of the infinite stars above them, together in a resonant-field of connection.

In a flash, the fly lands on the mushroom, licks it, and flies off in the direct of the toad, who swiftly snatches the drunken fly out of the air, and swallows it in one gulp. This sequence is seen in slow motion with the silhouette of the action projected by the moonlight.

Cuchulain returns and lands in front of the Toad with a drawn sword and brutally slices it in two. Emeralds and Lapis Lazuli fall-out from the toads head. The fly emerges again from the toads head, shakes, buzzes, flinches a little, staggers up to gather itself and then flies off only a few feet, landing this time on a lotus flower floating upon the pond. The fly is swallowed again by a huge salmon fish, which then in turn is quickly fished out by Cuchulain's fishing rod and set free once more. Cuchulain discovers a golden ring inside the salmon that fits him perfectly.

Ants march into the clearing and gather up the toad-parts mixed with jewels, transporting them back to their nest where together with a mouldy old beetle and a giant snake they rebuild the toad with spittle, venom and fungus.

The toad leaps out of the nest back to the clearing where he spits on the mushroom’s periscopic wart, which transforms the whole mushroom into a massive geodesic object, bejewelled with emerald glow, crystallized and sparkling like Kryptonite.

Cuchulain returned from a gap in a nearby tree trunk, plucked the mushroom from the soil and placed it in his red sack and sprang into the air again with a salmon leap all the way back to the village, where he divided the crystalized green between all the towns people. Everyone got a piece and said a funny prayer, hours later the whole village danced in celebration dressed to look like toads, fly's, snakes and mushrooms.

FINNEGANS WAKE: THE MOVIE (1966)

This movie was shared over at the maybelogic blog, thanks to Bobby. It sparked a flurry of visions. I thought of BOB. He would have loved this movie, I think. I find the TV scenes and treatment of the multi-media mixture of signals, more generally, mind blowing.
--steve fly

""A half-forgotten, half-legendary pioneer in American abstract and animated filmmaking, Mary Ellen Bute, late in her career as an artist, created this adaptation of James Joyce, her only feature. In the transformation from Joyce's polyglot prose to the necessarily concrete imagery of actors and sets, Passages discovers a truly oneiric film style, a weirdly post-New Wave rediscovery of Surrealism, and in her panoply of allusion - 1950s dance crazes, atomic weaponry, ICBMs, and television all make appearances - she finds a cinematic approximation of the novel's nearly impenetrable vertically compressed structure.

With Passages from Finnegans Wake Bute was the first to adapt a work of James Joyce to film and was honored for this project at the Cannes Film Festival in 1965 as best debut."

F is For Fourier Transfers

I find it hard to describe what I've learnt this week, but I'll share something I started to learn about just today, after reading Mark's 'Hyperpeople' where he writes "MP3 recording uses a mathematical technique known as Fourier Transforms to break an audio signal into its constituent sound waves. It’s like a chord played on a guitar: you can think of a chord as a set of individual strings being played simultaneously."

This quote caused me, among other things, to think of Claude Shannon, and led me, via a quick wiki search to some of his fascinating contributions to the --digital age--to my mind today, I kind of learnt that good poetry has a resonance with the Fourier Transform, like music, by way of the sweet chord-analogy made by Mark Pesce. I'm not sure I have fully processed and learn't about Fourier transforms, but I have found a new field of interest I feel worthy of deeper investigation and sharing here as an example. I also learnt a little about Giordano Bruno, Nietzsche, Giambattista Vico, James Joyce, McLuhan and Claude Shannon and what they have in common with my own warped interpretation of some parts of 'Hyperpeople'.

Furthermore, I feel that, although Internet may have no historical precedent, certain individuals have a strong resonance with the world wide web. Today I learn't why Nietzsche and Shannon, in particular, are important historical figures, kick-started by thoughts inspired while reading 'hyperpeople' if... we were to fiddle with historical events, contrasted with the current refreshing focus on the present 2009 - scenario-universe.
I shd/ come clean here though, friends, and confess that I'm not an academic, a Phd, or a University student, but I'm probably best classed in the realm of the drop-out I guess.

Three quarks for Muster Mark!: Sharing Mayelogic and other thoughts on internet.

"we’ve arrived in Marshal McLuhan’s global village right on schedule. --Hyperpeople. http://markpesce.com/

"Share the wealth and spoil the weal. Peg the pound to tom the devil. My time is on draught. --James Joyce, Finnegans Wake, Pg. 579.

The following is a dry-toast post, or warm-up for something a little dishy, I'm preparing for the - share this course - class; a new chapter in collaborative web-work and a kick in the balls for me by Mark Pesce, and his incredibly intelligent and brilliant writing, speaking and software engineering. A slowly growing group of master-craftspeople who are joined-together to work on a new-new book. I only recently finnished reading "hyperpeople" by Mark http://markpesce.com/ and realize that without an edit button, some of my previous posts may be a little naive now, and that this was put together in 2004 boggles the mind!

I'm certainly swimming upstream here a little, out of the range of my own areas of technological understanding and experience, I'm roughly cutting out some quotes from Mark's 2004 article titled 'hyperpeople' and arranging them into a blog-post where they can share a place among some other key principles I take from Dr. Wilson's 'Tale of the tribe' classes, and run with.

If my contribution to this class from an ideological standpoint so far could be summed up its that James Joyce and Ezra Pound both achieved a new - hyperconnected - language of poetry and poetry of language, that I feel, gives us a well connected historical axis, or model, from which to construct a new kind of text, a new book and a new language, that may or maynot be html code, social networks and the interneting - world wide web - itself.

I don not propose that we create a new Finnegans Wake or a new Cantos but instead think about Joyce's next project, his book of the day, what would that book read like? possibly a balance and response to his wild-book of the night? What would that be like? And from Pound I would draw attention to his methodological introduction of Historical matter, his treatment of cultural fragments in an Epic poem or Tale of the Tribe, a tale of all Humanity, we can learn structure and hyperconnectivity from these two great books of shared knowledge. The rest of the tale of the tribe, as defined by RAW seems to be primarily concerned with the work of Pound and Joyce. I want to share, more specifically my interpretations of some of these ideas about alphabet and ideogram, as it becomes a natural extension from current research.

"Nietzsche's view on eternal return is similar to that of Hume: "the idea that an eternal recurrence of blind, meaningless variation—chaotic, pointless shuffling of matter and law—would inevitably spew up worlds whose evolution through time would yield the apparently meaningful stories of our lives. This idea of eternal recurrence became a cornerstone of his nihilism, and thus part of the foundation of what became existentialism."http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nietzsche#Eternal_return

"Nietzsche said that history repeats itself: first as tragedy, then as folly. George Santayana said that those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. "Bruno's cosmology is marked by infinitude, homogeneity, and isotropy, with planetary systems distributed evenly throughout. Matter follows an active animistic principle: it is intelligent and discontinuous in structure, made up of discrete atoms. This animism (and a corresponding disdain for mathematics as a means to understanding) is the most dramatic respect in which Bruno's cosmology differs from what today passes for a common-sense picture of the universe.- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giordano_bruno

"...the “decentralized indexing”, meant that someone, somewhere had already figured out how to combine the best feature of Gnutella (its decentralized search mechanism) with the best of BitTorrent (it’s ability to turn the Internet into a very efficient system for sharing files). - Mark Pesce, Hyperpeople.

"On the left are values of f(t) at the sampling points. The integral on the right will be recognized as essentially the nth coefficient in a Fourier-series expansion of the function F(ω), taking the interval –W to W as a fundamental period. This means that the values of the samples f(n / 2W) determine the Fourier coefficients in the series expansion of F(ω). Thus they determine F(ω), since F(ω) is zero for frequencies greater than W, and for lower frequencies F(ω) is determined if its Fourier coefficients are determined. But F(ω) determines the original function f(t) completely, since a function is determined if its spectrum is known. Therefore the original samples determine the function f(t) completely. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyquist%E2%80%93Shannon_sampling_theorem

"BitTorrent is an elegant answer for the “superdistribution” of data; it harnesses the millions of Internet-connected computers to create something greater than the sum

information. Mark Pesce, Hyperpeople.

"In information theory, entropy is a measure of the uncertainty associated with a random variable. The term by itself in this context usually refers to the Shannon entropy, which quantifies, in the sense of an expected value, the information contained in a message, usually in units such as bits. Equivalently, the Shannon entropy is a measure of the average information content one is missing when one does not know the value of the random variable. The concept was introduced by Claude E. Shannon in his 1948 paper "A Mathematical Theory of Communication". - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Information_entropy

"Instead, all computers which want to get access to some data are considered “peers,” meaning all are equal participants in any exchange of data. Mark Pesce, Hyperpeople.

"The source coding theorem for symbol codes places an upper and a lower bound on the minimal possible expected length of codewords as a function of the entropy of the input word (which is viewed as a random variable) and of the size of the target alphabet. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shannon%27s_source_coding_theorem

“The medium is the message” means the actions of a community will differ in kind if that community is connected via telephone rather than radio, or email rather than television. Mark Pesce, Hyperpeople.

McLuhan used James Joyce's Finnegans Wake as a major inspiration for this study of war throughout history as an indicator as to how war may be conducted in the future.
Joyce's Wake is claimed to be a gigantic cryptogram which reveals a cyclic pattern for the whole history of man through its Ten Thunders. Each "thunder" below is a 100-character portmanteau of other words to create a statement he likens to an effect that each technology has on the society into which it is introduced. In order to glean the most understanding out of each, the reader must break the portmanteau into separate words (and many of these are themselves portmanteaus of words taken from multiple languages other than English) and speak them aloud for the spoken effect of each word. There is much dispute over what each portmanteau truly denotes.
McLuhan claims that the ten thunders in Wake represent different stages in the history of man:[50]

* Thunder 1: Paleolithic to Neolithic. Speech. Split of East/West. From herding to harnessing animals.
* Thunder 2: Clothing as weaponry. Enclosure of private parts. First social aggression.
* Thunder 3: Specialism. Centralism via wheel, transport, cities: civil life.
* Thunder 4: Markets and truck gardens. Patterns of nature submitted to greed and power.
* Thunder 5: Printing. Distortion and translation of human patterns and postures and pastors.
* Thunder 6: Industrial Revolution. Extreme development of print process and individualism.
* Thunder 7: Tribal man again. All choractors end up separate, private man. Return of choric.
* Thunder 8: Movies. Pop art, pop Kulch via tribal radio. Wedding of sight and sound.
* Thunder 9: Car and Plane. Both centralizing and decentralizing at once create cities in crisis. Speed and death.
* Thunder 10: Television. Back to tribal involvement in tribal mood-mud. The last thunder is a turbulent, muddy wake, and murk of non-visual, tactile man.

SRS is for SUN RA SYSTEM

So, i just continued my research and writing about Sun Ra. Found some new sources and resources, and found myself asking more questions...
More mid-week, enjoy.

Love
fly...

Sun Ra Seed Transmissions: Sun Ra and Dr. Timothy Leary are similar cats working in some different mediums, but may have more in common than first meets the mind, the DJ thinks that Sun Ra’s concert for the Comet Kahoutek was another space-time experiment/event (resulting in an audio recording) in synchrony with Timothy Leary and Robert Anton Wilson’s experiences in cosmic telepathy – a recurring theme through Sun Ra’s work too, explicitly and interpreted musically.

I was listening to Sun Ra music when i first encountered Cosmic Trigger around 1996, and even made DJ mixes combining Sun Ra music and Timothy Leary words and gave them strange titles as the magician started experimenting with ideas from the book as interpreted through music. All in my bedroom, reading books only a handful of people had read and making strange experimental music with turntables, a reel to reel tape machine and a microphone.

“END OF THE WAR GAME.” William S. Burroughs. Electronic Revolution. Last words.

“But you got
Any Sun Ra records or DuBois books?
Otherwise
You gon die
With the murderers
& crooks.” Amiri Baraka. ´Words from Sun Ra.

A number of varied tribal cultures throughout human history have composed devices to track the Sun, Moon, and other celestial phenomena. Some mapped the seasonal changes, calculated calendars and some recorded solar and lunar eclipses, asteroid and meteorite showers. Many, structures on planet earth such as the Egyptian and Mayan pyramids show evidence of intelligent design and precise alignments to cosmological processes: sunrises, Solstices, moonrises, Equinoxes, moon sets, comet cycles etc. But what of the ancient languages of chanting, singing, dancing and spoken word used within ritual spaces opened up by shamans and wizards of harmony? When I wonder about a cosmological and/or celestial music i find the work of Sun Ra and his arkestra "key" to non-simultaneously apprehending the BIG question's about spacetime "outer-space vs. Inner-space" and the difficulties to communicating sensible messages about these things - things way out there - beyond language, pushing at the furry edge of the infinite donut omni-verse like a pair of puckered lips anticipating their double.

The Music, myth and magic of Sun Ra has enriched humanity with a cornucopia of experimental research data and psycho-archeological investigations into the social, psychological conditions and spaces we inhabit. I gravitate towards my ideal Sun Ra system - or network of ideas, as a sort of planet, or cluster of planets and gasses representing my thoughts and experiences, fly agaric 23 from another star system, this is how i would like to view the life and music of Sun Ra, by joining his cosmic-philosophy and ritual musical experiments together and looking at the from an outer-space view.

I first encountered Sun Ra as a curious disk jockey - having spent thirteen years coordinating sections of SUN RA music into some of my DJ sets and musical recipes. I give credit to both Kevin Gator and Keith Hopewell (Part2) for igniting my initial interest in Sunny, Afro-cosmic jazz and Black music culture in my early 20's. For me a combination of RAMMELLZEE’s Iconic Treatise on Afro-Futurism mixed with Kodwo Eshun’s book “More Brilliant Than The Sun: Adventures in Black Sonic Fiction” plus the electronic induced revolution taking root in the 1990's around the UK., spearheaded by many African-English DJ’s, producers, artists and some live musicians during the 90’s and into the new millennium, mostly from low income areas of urban Britain, this electronic revolution - sparked off by both drugs and computers in the hands of the a few creative people who used them to manufacture their own music, culture and scene, independent of the major labels and trappings of the vulture capitalist entertainment industry, making independent record labels, and locally supported enterprises.

And although the music hardly resembles anything SUN RA produced, the cultural activities surrounding the underground UK rave scene of the 1990's and the SUN RA SYSTEM meet, in me, and the memes oozing out from both of these musical phenomena have many criss-crossings that, in the UK - writers such as Kodwo and Simon Reynolds have documented. In the swirling blackness of audio SPACE the wisdom of SUN RA can reignite the humanistic and scholarly traits to SUN RA SYSTEM, and cascade into a new musical congress: musical beings and walking encyclopedia's of the cosmic wisdom of the spheres.

"To the makers of music — all worlds, all times" Engraved upon the Gold Disk bolted onto Voyager 1, now estimated to be over fourteen billion miles away.

As DJ Fly Agaric 23, i have my own biases and favourite myth stories - i guess a combination of the kind of Directed Panspermia theory devised by Sir Francis Crick with the Cosmic Schmuck principle of Dr. Robert Anton Wilson, inspired, in a musical and aesthetic sense, by SUN RA, whom i consider a balanced mixture between mask and anti-mask, self and anti-self, mythical being and historical personae. As a DJ it seems somewhat easier to escape into a cosmic pseudonym of galactic proportions, a great name, simply spinning joyful space noise from magical disks. Without theoretical explanations or historical context in the literary sense, it is easy to get lost in space, but SUN RA shows how to bind timespace and to bind space-time and make sense of them with new maps as recordings and performaces as metaphors.

As Acrylic Figa - another alter-ego of DJ Fly Agaric 23, i began to write and conduct literary based research into language and poetry, pursuing a 5 year long study of another SYSTEM of information called Maybe logic, as defined and described by Dr. Robert Anton Wilson, whom in my estimation voices the scientific philosophical counter-melody to the Joyful Sun Ra sounds and loads the Kosmic Trigger Figures and fires the fugues in/out of the heed.

I guess it would be through the trans-humanist and trans-personal psychology, and through the exo-psychology, exo-biology and cyberpunk ontology language of Dr. Timothy Leary that reads and feels to me, like the experience of listening and watching SUN RA and his Arkestra at play/work. Tim also had a cosmological/neurological "spacetime" philosophy including an exit strategy and space migration SYSTEM including relativity, in effect translating fields of scientific and humanitarian study into new languages, condensed and indexed exo-philosophy and trans-humanism, in accord with the new data, the research from outer space exploration and inner neuron-space exploration in 2009.

The equation “Space Migration plus intelligence squared equals life extension”, developed and intuited by Dr. Leary could be a helpful gloss or another lens through which to view the Sun Ra Myth Science SYSTEM and other cosmological attenuated music such as that of John and Alice Coltrane, and the modern, free and "out" jazz explorations that bloomed throughout the explorative 60's parallel with the NASA space programe.

“Maybe it's nothing
Aaah
Maybe it's nothing
What? What? Oh” -- Sun Ra. Revolution 9.

A SYSTEM to mean a system internetwork of interacting sub/disciplines, a nodal cluster of disciplines from across a broad range of cultural spaces and epochs, in Sun Ra, Leary and Wilson we might highlight the following recognized academic spheres of scholarship and the ability to connect historical individual and communal experience together, in TIME. History; cultural studies and gender studies; philosophy, aesthetics and semiotics; ethnology and cultural anthropology; archeology and prehistory; psychology and sociology; physiology and neuroscience; acoustics and psycho acoustics; computer/information sciences, theology, trans humanism, space migration, intelligence increase.

Add together the encyclopedic genius of John Sinclair, Amiri Baraka and other living cultural critics and collaborators of RA and you have a tidal force for cultural change crashing down and around you from all quarters, sweeping you up off your feet into the neurological torrent of myth/music and healing tones for motherfuckers too busy talkin shit on telephones to hear the future.

“The aim of this project is to build up a language in which certain falsifications inherit in all existing western languages will be made incapable of formulation. The follow-falsifications to be deleted from the proposed language." William S. Burroughs. The Electronic Revolution. P. 33.

Reshaping and juxtaposing 10001 songs/texts/memes together into the SYSTEM, radiating an original and coherent unity, like that of a whirling galaxy or human cell cluster whose branches of multiple meaning are a function of the experimental formulae and Futurist, Dada surprise donut coating.

Remy De Gourmont the great French spaceman and in particular his principle of the “disassociation of ideas”, seems to describe the peculiar perception of no normal sequence of events in SUN RA´s musical journey. Light and dark, tonal and atonal, asymmetrical orchestrations mixed, photons and electrons dancing - the push and pull of TIME - sucked through and spat out into acoustic spaces of euphony. Yes. The name game turns and the BE Bop Kabbalah begins, cypher sounds flowing like electricity, exploring the infinite combinations and ways to say something, life, love, melody, memory, yes.

The Tale of the Tribe might hint at A Tale of an Ethnic Group, as Ethnic Group and Tribe are somewhat interchangeable terms, in which case we have a complete system of tribal wisdom wrapped up in SUN RA and his Joyful Noise. A perfected model and SYSTEM of language, musical mappings, ritual dance, piercing poetry, sincere scholarship and heart stopping humour with which to compare and analyse other ART, from other cultures and regions of the planet earth, and to consider the limited resources and challenges overcome by the great Black American pioneers of this music and language the world has come to realize, was some of the gretest musical expressions of human life and the bombardment of information, light and sound that we all encounter and filter through our brain-body systems, ever created, in my humble opinion.

In his books “Sacred Drift” and “Irish Soma”, Peter Lamborn Wilson has extended the rather deserted landscape of intelligent Afro/Celtic historical, ethnographical research and brings a basis for further mythological, folkloric and ceremonial research into these furtive areas of post colonial humanities. Finnegans Wake by James Joyce - who listened to Louis Armstrong and loved Blues and Jazz music - provided another literary parallel to the SUN RA experience. History, etymology, cosmology, enthnocentricity, eccentricity, humour, counterpoint, numerology, alienation, escape from the socially sactioned norms' are the major points of intersection i perceive between RA and Joyce and Joyous Noyse. Cheryl Herr, of the University of Iowa writes...

“As First in America and then across the water, an affiliation between Irishness and blackness was honed in the Afro-Hibernian crucible of the minstrel show where Paddy and Sambo interchanged roles, created a matrix of longing that encompassed both the Irish lament and the Delta blues ("Irish Mornings" J.J, F.W.p50-53).

John Sinclair forwarded the memes of cultural transformation through unity of music and poetry and joyful noise, and has remained a literay and poetic gauge by which to help measure music, musicians and the cultural impact of music in the west, in particular the Black American heritage of Blues and Jazz in all it's varied forms. With the violence, tragedy and struggle woven in and detailed along with the triumph, epiphany and beauty of this musical revolution.

John Sinclair, Amiri Baraka and a frightfully small handful of other music writers and musicological poets and artists continue the current of balanced social feedback based upon extensive experience and practice in-the field working with the Sun RA family and band, for over 40 years in John´s unique case. 40 years yo!

Fela Kuti, John Coltrane, James Brown, Sun Ra, Robert Johnson, Theolonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Charles Mingus, these Jazz and Bluesmen re-plastered the face of modern culture, but have been almost whitewashed from censored history, i think, when viewed in comparison with other great American hero's, honoured with institutes, statues, foundations and schools of music.

But difference between music for social change, equality, intelligence and community cohesion compared with modern POP music - that manufactured mush of low information - for the most part another commodity for financial profit, titillation, celebrity kicks, extortion, sedation, cultural manipulation and enthnocentric racial and sexually exploitative purposes. The message becomes clearer now thanks to a few underground writers and critics still able to improvise their own thoughts and actions in a free way, breaking rules with a disciplined spirit of experimentation and knowledge and challenge the orthodox opinions about culture, heritage and humanity. Like that which Sun Ra radiated, the search for knowledge, trying new things and seeing the world through new eyes - questioning everything, especially authority.

“Now whatever you may be you are not an “animal”, you are not a “body”, because these are verbal labels. The IS of identity always carries the assignment of permanent condition. To stay that way. All name calling presupposes the IS of identity. This concept is unnecessary in a hieroglyphic language like ancient Egyptian and in fact frequently omitted. No need to say the sun IS in the sky, sun in sky suffices. .” William S. Burroughs. The Electronic Revolution. P. 33.

I would like to raise some questions in conjunction with SUN RA that i feel may lead to a better cohesive strategy within the new emerging global tribal communities, both the community in and around Birmingham, England - where i grew up - and the communities i lived and worked amidst in America and in Europe, and towards a new global cultural meeting including everybody to attempt something approaching the best face we can put on the notion of democracy.

  • * 1. Identity and the Individual relationship with the state. Who and where are you?
  • * 2. The language of class warfare? Class and language and the relationships to culture?
  • * 3. Mythological Archetypes and Cultural Memes, define yours.
  • * 4. Race, sex, ethnicity and history in whose language, script and code?
  • * 5. Tribal bonds, ceremonies, rituals and group communication activities, defined?
  • * 6. Who owns and who issues the means to distribution of cultural language and information?
  • * 7. How do cultural identities become so, the individual and state entity, and the alien?
  • * 8. What is your tale of the tribe, can you describe another?
  • * 9. How does joyful noise and music help communicate the tale of the ethnic group´s?

A few minutes spent reading into the life of Sonny Blount, and his transformation into Sun Ra will inform the reader about the social struggles, trials and ordeals he endured both physiological and psychological, that so many African American Jazzmen encountered, being on the front line of the violent and brutal assault on culture during the Nazi like medieval methods for social correction incorporating inhumane' punishment throughout the birthing of Jazz and Blues i n the United States. The openly racist targeting of Black artists, especially of the jazz persuasion outlines one of the unbearable pressures looming over many of these musical geniuses and cultural iconoclasts - some drugs, poverty, family, health, geographical locale', finances etc. It is against this backdrop of a Tsarist like tyranny and oppression of the creative and free individualism that defines ART in human beings, and against the constant struggle to get out from under the boot of ignorant authority that SUN RA bursts onto the world scene, and considering the racist historical period that he lived through he achieves a remarkable and exemplary transformation of the negative forces of hatred, intolerance, bitterness and perpetual warfare he witnessed - into a joyful noise of forgiveness - wisdom poetry and a new language of new beginnings, and moving on into the future - the creation of a musical ark upon which humanity can break free from any shackles and re-balance the equation once more, taking into consideration the other planets and dark star clusters, the great cosmos and outer galaxies, the void, the gas.

But there is no escape from himself, Sun Ra confronts the daily myth with the openness and sincerity of a Zen Monk, with adequate humour, repose, performance prowess - blurring the line between how your living and how your performing - making joyful noise and music his life blood and soul food - total communication and total immersion within the sound-scape realities and so becoming, overtime, through consistency of freedom: the physical embodiment of the sound, the poly-rhythm and melody. Reverse the process and you listen back to the music of Sun Ra and he lives within the music in a special and unique kind of way, the sound of disembodied shadows of a former world. Right there! in those spaces, yes.

“With regard to jazz, the l.p brought many changes, such as the cult of “real cool drool,” because greatly increased length of a single side of a disk meant that the jazz band could really have a long and casual chat among its instruments. – Marshall McLuhan. Understanding Media. P.282.

Sun Ra represented a 21st century being, living his life as though in far in the future, like in the world of Castalia created by Herman Hesse in the classic book Magister Ludi: The Glass Bead Game, where a kind of musical Chess language is performed as art over long periods of time, long enough to begin registering the movements of the cosmos. Sunny was not only living this way, but all the time composing, arranging, writing, radiating his swinging rhythm, melody, syncopation for the black nation.

Crafting tools for humanity to steer themselves and spaceship earth through the unknown black mass of probabilities ahead of us, swirling about us in all directions like helium, bringing a mischievious smile to every face connected to ears that can listen to the creeping wonder and mystical surprise of cheeky chops, menacing changes, violent waves of percussion, battering of drum heads all pouring out into space - all-at-once - intertwined and entangled bits of the totality, bits probably caught in your ear for a split second a split quarter note lingers, but TIME takes its course and winds down to a pulse, a base, a foundation. The Base, yes.

“This language will be a tonal language like Chinese, it will also have a hieroglyphic script as pictorial as possible without being to cumbersome or difficult to write. This language will give one option of silence. When not talking, the user of this language can take in the silent images of the written, pictorial and symbol languages.” W.S.B. TER. P 35.

Newtown?
McLear Dream Solliquoy (Final sequence)
The night of the 1st of August 1936, Mclear’s dream.

Mclear’s father drinks some tea from a chalice, and then climbs a ladder set against a house to fetch down the toad that is stuck up high, the pet toad of his cousin, and, while on his way down he slips, on a snake mimicking the wrong of a ladder, falls and crushes his head, and the toad in the process. Brains, Toad slime, jewels and flies merge together.

Mclear’s cousin turns into Alice through the looking glass, in wonderland, and shrinks down to the size of a small rodent, she begins munching on Lotus petals that have suddenly sprung up around his father/mothers corpse, where a fly swoons and across the body that is now wearing a white gown and has breasts

A bomb comes whistling out of the sky, changing into a figure resembling Cuchulain, a giant with twelve arms, and each hand holding an object: A boomerang, a Robert Johnson 78’ disk, a golden jewel encrusted chalice, a smoking pipe styled into the shape of a toad, a totem pole, A telephone receiver/speaker, a printing stamp-press, a calendar, an Umbrella, A TV set, a Video-Camera. The smoking pipe was now in the giants mouth and the clouds of smoke drifted up and up to become huge clouds, nebulous, ten miles high or more.

One cloud takes the form of a giant mushroom and descends back to the scene of the accident, pitching itself next to the androgenous corpse. The mushroom then morphs again into a small Santa Claus doll, and proceeds to administer coca-cola to the body, pouring it up the nostrils and letting it fizz all over the face, the body begins to shake.

[due to a disturbance in the dream sequence, ultimately down to an early lecture with G.K Chesterton, but setting his alarm clock one full hour earlier than he needed]
Mclear’s father/mother, his cousin and himself were now up and running from the house, jumping away from the garden on pogo sticks, away from where the toad-corpse ooze had now released a green fog into the air, that set everybody laughing uncontrollably.
Arriving in a wooded area they eventually stop and slump down onto the ground leaning against a birch tree. Suddenly a wheel rolls into the clearing in front of them with a golden apple lodged inside the axis. Then, as Mclear recalls his dream, ‘we all eat a small piece of the apple and go sit down back under the tree again’

In a flash the dreaer has morphed into a Mushroom stood right there in the spot where he once sat. His Father/mother had transformed into a fly, and his cousin Mary changed quickly from his grandmother, then to a toad who also sits where she once sat in the wooded clearing.

At this point Mclear describes the sense of eternity passing, then a jumping of perceptions between the three shapeshifters, triangulated in their positions. The mushroom had only single sight, a tiny periscope inside a wart, but it released a constant humming sound that Mclear heard as the sound of a tribal drum in his head when he looked at the fly and the toad looking at him.

Suddenly Mclear experienced total ESP with the others, plus he heard voices from the tress and the foliage and the leaves; a low chatter beneath the canopy, they sat motionless, in awe of the infinite stars above them.

In a flash, the fly lands on the mushroom, licks it, flies off towards the toad, who swiftly, and Ninja like, snatches the drunken fly out of the air, and swallows it in one gulp.
Cuchulain returns and lands in front of the Toad with a drawn sword and slices it in two. Gold and jewels fall-out from the toads head while the fly shakes, buzzes, flinches a little, staggers up to gather itself and flies off, only a few feet to then land on a floating lotus flower upon the pond, and is swallowed by a huge salmon, which then in turn is fished out by Cuchulain and set free, plus Cuchulain discovers a golden ring inside the salmon that fits perfectly with his elaborate zoological breastplate.
Ants came marching into the clearing and gathered up the toads parts, and some Lapis Lazuli jewels and carried them back to their nest, where together with a beetle, a snake and a unknown miniature jellyfish-scorpion creature, they remade the toad with spittle, venom and special green fungus.
The toad jumps out of the nest and leaps back to the clearing, where he spits on the mushroom’s periscope, which then transforms the whole mushroom into a geodesic object, but still bejewelled crystallized and sparkling.
Cuchulain returned from a gap in a nearby tree trunk, plucked the mushroom, put it in his red sack, and sprang off into the air again back to the town, where he fairly divided the crystalized mushroom up between all the towns people, everyone got a piece and said a prayer:

TTOTT is for The Tale of the Tribe: v1.0

The Tale of the Tribe. [TOTT.]

An ambiguous and widely missunderstood grouping of FIVE words, or four if you miss off THE'

I think the phrase "A Poem including History" works as a helpful pointer. Finnegans Wake and the Cantos'

Are each "The Tale of the Tribe" in their respective ways. "Illuminatus! Trilogy" too!

These 3 texts when considered together may constitute a triangular structure, from which RAW's TOTT SHINE most

Brightly?

Also the book by Michael Berstein [1980] "The Tale of the Tribe: The Modern verse epic of Ezra Pound."

Steers us once more toward uncle [EZ] who with [JJ] become the two primary exhibitors of

RAW's TOTT. [which i figure is NOT his final published book "email to the Universe", but something much bigger

woven and threaded throughout his books, and sombunall of his literary influences, an invisible landscape. ]

So what i refer to as [RAW's TOTT], as opposed to anybody else's idea or conception/perception

of the TOTT remains something we have yet to define. But he left us many clues. [rising drums and Cello's]

Maybe it requires a total revision of RAW's entire catalogue

With the new TOTT gloss, [best condensed at the back of his bookTSOG]

To move closer to lifting this great ball of TOTT crystal IMHO.

...the alphabet vs. the equation....?

...language as Class Warfare...?

Here's a condensed paragraph from RAW, giving us
Further clues:

**I hereby acknowledge the debts my works owe to Remy de Gourmont,
for his method of dissociation of ideas, to Alfred Korzybski, for his
formulations of general semantics; to Richard Bandler, for his
invension of neurolinguistic Programming; to Buckminster Fuller for his
synergetics, to Claude Shannon and Norbert Weiner for their studies of
control and communication between animals and/or machines; and to
Ezra Pound for Ideogrammic Method.
None of them deserve any blame for my errors or blunders.** -Robert Anton Wilson, email to the Universe.

I would like to echo Bob's sentiment here, as he does not deserve any blame for my earaws or blunterz.
!

And here we have a neat introduction to [RAW's TOTT]compiled by the sparkling MLA.

"==Tale of the Tribe==
The first of Wilson's MLA courses bridging the political,
the social and the psychological, [[Tale of the Tribe]] promises to be a landmark
journey with our dear Dr. Bob. Starring **Giordano Bruno, Giambatista Vico,
Friederich Nietzsche, Ernest Fenollosa, Ezra Pound, Alfred Korzybski,
James Joyce, Buckminster Fuller, Claude Shannon** and **Marshall McLuhan** --
the nucleus of the extraordinary minds that have helped shape the
information age of 21st century and the mindscape of **Robert Anton Wilson.**
Join Wilson as he explores the themes, minds and ideas of his forthcoming book, The Tale of the Tribe.--A.A MLA Admin.

And here is a question by BOB,
from the back of his book TSOG: The thing the ate the constitution,

That i think crystalizes RAW's TOTT,
And deserves DAILY revision...

What do Giordano Bruno, Giambatista Vico,
Friedrich Nietzsche, Ernest Fenollosa, Ezra Pound
Alfred Korzybski, James Joyce, Buckminster Fuller,
Claude Shannon, Marshall Mcluhan and Internet all have in
common? You''ll find out. -TSOG.

I have started doing this new work, condensing the nodle clusters

From RAW's work's [the names of the characters to begin with]

And started arranging them in different ways. [having searchable source's has greatly inspired this posting]

I feel that i have stepped over/through some boundaries in some sense,

By cutting bits from RAW's writing and sticking them together. [byte-ing RAW]

But, with the strictest supervision, and with a community who can FEEDBACK

with each other while doing so, we can basically continue RAW's work,

And study his structure, technique and methods?

In some sense this new work of mine is nothing more than a collection of Robert Anton Wilson quotes.

But unlike any other collection of RAW quotations,

This one focuses on RAW's Tale of the Tribe, the historical characters,

who "make it new".

I hope the MLA, TRIBE, and everybody else can join this great

Work in conception/perception.

But for me this is just the beginning, the bare bones, an historical

Kind of invetigation. [phase I]

I wish for audio/visual components, and hyperlinking which help

Make the words NEW.

Maybe email is the best way to work this out in the initial stages?

M is for Monkey: Journey to the West

"Well, it's about Ezra Pound and James Joyce, whom I regard as the two major innovators of twentieth century literature. And oddly they both had a very powerful influence on Marshall McLuhan who has influenced how we think about all media, especially internet, even though internet didn't begin to develop until after McLuhan was dead. - Robert Anton Wilson, speaking of his "Tale of The Tribe." - RAW Utopia Interview 2001

Classic Oriental theatre and picture/poems rendered into a Hip Opera. Monkey: Journey to the West, in (2007), and so on through the emerald jungle of Orientalism and Modernism, now glossed with wind and rain of Wikipedia, Google, Youtube, Google maps, blogs, hyperlight communications. Escaped the city on a train, like a Haiku through the wilderness between London and Manchester. New weather patterns. Next will be the Vedas, the Sutras, the Dead Sea Scrolls, The Popol Vuh, Finnegans Wake i hope, the classics made KNU. The Worlds classics. Here we have something that i boldly think constitutes a new paradigm shift, equivalent to mass enlightenment in the Buddhist sense, in some sense - illumination, lights, simply. If we could just choose to see it that way. Awaken to the lower lights. Greet these holographic entities and make them welcome, they are here to stay. Bonded by an undefined spirit behind the curtain, a hidden hand in mind: The tech support mist of mind. Monkeys in the mist. Fresh air rushes in-coming, the virus of language sneezed from outerspice. The end of word is HERE. burp!

Monkey: Journey to the West Provides a new kind of band, and a new kind of Opera, a backdrop this week upon which to hang a bunch of important questions facing mankind: Virtual Reality and Oriental Reality. Who distributes it, how?

"Peace comes of communication."-- Ezra Pound

Every-things happening everywhere nowadays! Like in Finnegans Wake. So Knu pist modem to to show a bit of gnu-historical glow and knu-contextual flowing relationships sailing to our subject matter of eve're:thing. See "Google", "Wikipedia" etc. (The internet of things). The Oracle of surprise information.

"We have speculated that the vacuum fluctuation of space-time is a holographic modular hierarchy whose individual levels posses properties in common with the King Wen sequence of the I Ching and morphology of DNA. - Terence and Dennis Mckenna, Invisible Landscape. mckenna.psychedelic-library

The Epic tale Journey to the West, both in the 1580's and the 2007's spills out of the conventional stage box with wet and wild bardic spewing from all quarters, metamorphoses, telepathy, sympathetic magic, levitation, spells, Sacred Elixirs, Autopoiesis, love potions, telekinesis, sign language, teleportation, Crypto-zoological nightmares, wild psychedelic visions and alien voices, transbutation, animism, direct communication with space Gods, weather gods, insect gods, mountain Gods and MONKEY gods, Gorilla "Gods" all sorts of Nature "gods" often called AVATARS in the more Easterly quarters. Interplanetary sentient web 3, a flurry of Angels, a paradigm shift, a re-orientation and redefinition of our collective internet of things, our reality engines. Identity? Am i google now? If i think of it?

"The idea of representative government after we overthrew the monarchy was: we'll have representatives who will represent us. In the first place, they don't represent us! They represent the corporations who pay their campaign finance. And in the second place we don't need anybody to represent us. Now that we've got internet we can represent ourselves. So I think all those people should be thrown the hell out of office and forced to make a living as honest men and women do, rather than by lying to the gullible and selling them out to the corporations, and we can represent ourselves through internet.

As a matter of fact, Buckminster Fuller--one of the most brilliant people of the twentieth century, often compared to Leonardo da Vinci and Benjamin Franklin for the extent of the fields in which he was an expert, he was an expert in at least a dozen fields--one of his last books has that theme. He calls it desovereignization: getting rid of human representatives and representing ourselves though electronic media. So I am not as original as I sometimes think I am.

Gorillaz are not the first virtual band they are one of the first really enlightened band, literally. They are light beings. Part human origin, part non-human, artificially represented as real (avatar): Spooks, Phantoms, Projections, alien hyperlight beings etc. Not of the word. Beings of Monkey magic-LIGHT. Gorillaz are Aliens from another dimension. They have landed again. They are mythical magical beings; they have a strange new hemisemi-fictionalized history, partly based on real flesh and bloody humans but humans who sometimes pretend and imitate themselves and so making them also satisfactorily "unreal" and so falsifyable, and so "Real" again! and around we go! but, they make up for this confusion, for me, with a very convincingly real presence when on the stage communicating through sound-waves and music. But writing about music is like blowing smoke rings about architecture so i'll leave that for crumbling music press. Monkey: Journey to the West seems more Real and interactive and present NOW than most political Puppets on the world stage in 2007. The hologramic projection equipment and the magic (Peppers Ghost Technology) provide Gorillaz with Monkey Magic, new creation engines, partly programmed by a real Chinese master - Chen Shi-Zheng. Gorrilaz' combine with the incredibly rich and incredibly vast portal of new discovery and rediscovery of The Orient, via Chen Shi-Zheng.

Joyce's Epiphany, McLuhan's "Electronic Orientalism" and the human tech-support team helping to translate and propagate a new hyperlite from a newBudust'" Sutra. Follow the journey of Wu Cheng'en and his experiences with a totalitarian Chinese culture intolerant of great poetry in a similar way to how totalitarian America was mostly Intolerant of Ezra Pound and totalitarian Great Britain was Intolerant of Oscar Wilde and other great genius of world literature.

Monsters and demons are trying to obtain immortality by eating flesh! This provides a large part of the plot in Monkey: Journey to the West. I am familiar with Immortality themes within some mythological contexts and some cannibalism in mythology and fairy lore may can be glossed as the trickery of prankster drug cultists who created "False" etymologies for certain species of sacred fruits to keep them hidden and hidden. Entheogens are chemical and biological candidates in for real ingredients within real wet dazzling "Immortality Elixirs" like Ayahuasca or other psychoactive brews, teas and snuffs. In both the (biological) reality of the damp forest and the freshly perfumed hillside and in the digitally remodeled virtual reality of the myth space/time including history Also see RAW's essay on why Hannibal Lector would make a better President than George W. Bush!

"The forces which produce the branch-angles of an oak lay potent in the acorn. Similar lines of resistance, half curbing the out-pressing vitalities, govern the branching of rivers and of nations. Thus a nerve, a wire, a roadway, and a clearing-house are only varying channels which communication forces for itself. This is more than analogy, it is identity of structure. - Ernest Fenollosa, Chinese Written Character as a Medium for Poetry.

Monkey teached me to revisit the relationship between words and images and things. Poetry in the print media world now a unique kind of bridge-space between words and images. A GLUE that binds cultures, languages, history, religion, Law and science all together, a tale of a tribe, a modern verse epic, a cultural encyclopedia. See "The Cantos and Finnegans Wake! Something more than the sentencing masses. Monkey: Journey to the West has some of the qualities of a Modern verse epic and due to its 2007 web 2 re-release and digital transmission by hyperlight communication around the globe millions of times in a minute into outer-space/time; Monkey: Journey to the West (An OPERA feat. The Gorillaz), is something the pre-internet poets such as Joyce, Pound, Po and Crowley and hundreds more seemed to be dreaming of in their folded up catapillar form. The crystal ball of freely available classics.,

Classics of world literature, poetry and tribal encyclopedias, e-post, e-modernism and the beginning of a new Global Theatre perhaps, the electronic age as the coming of the hyperlight age, youtube, facebook, myspace, google, wikipedia, flikr, photobucket, e-bay, and bluetoothing wireless "everyware" (Sterling 2006).
Democracy is the art and science of running the circus from the monkey cage. -- Henry Louis Mencken

Imagism in the early 20th Century was heavily influenced by the relatively unknown, Ernest Fenollosa partly revived by Robert Anton Wilson and more directly by Ezra Pound who famously included many pictograms or word/images in his grand synthesis "The Cantos": A Globally oriented praxis of language and culture including Oriental cultures, especially Chinese languages. (which was a center study text in Wilson's course "The Tale of the Tribe" at Maybelogic Academy in 2004. I have come around and around to thinking that uncle Bob encouraged others to read and re-read Pounds Cantos so as to be sufficiently equipped with a single bound poetic guide (an oracle) to help us and our new emerging multicultural global community (VILLAGE) and our own relative comprehension of "reality" and "History" to boot as we crawl through the sewage of the 20th into the new 21st century e.v.Finnegans Wake is the other single bound Oracle that Robert Anton Wilson recommends. I would add his "Illuminatus!" to make three blinding bound Oracles for better processing 21st century life.

"For centuries, the epic tale of the Monkey King's journey of enlightenment has been an omnipresent part of Chinese culture, delighting young and old with its heady mix of adventure, mystery and magic," said the Manchester International Festival's website. - cartridgemonkey.com

Alphabet and ideogram meat again stuck in web 2, Finn again for humanity to move forwards again and to get around the obstacles and roadblocks blocking our communication canals again.

I use the term Gorillaz' to mean Human beings and alien light beings, a part of the many collaborators who are Gorillaz tech-support mist in some sense, the production crew, the multiple personalities behind the metaphorical curtain of a 21st Century virtual band.

Monkey: Journey to the West maybe a knu catalyst for a new paradigm shift in the western lands if we see it clearly due to the new means of community within which classic literature from the Orient and all over thw world can begin to weave its magic "binding" qualities. Everyware! And catalyze the sort of cultural exchange and feedback the modernists would have liked, i guess. The classics of Oriental culture translated for a Western world word 3 experiencing alphabet psychosis.

"You cannot own the power and the magic of this world. It is always available, but it does not belong to anyone." - Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

"Internet belongs to the people that use it. Nobody has found an effective way of policing it, and they never will as far as I can see. Any way of controlling internet would involve creating a world government and the people who most want to censor opinions are the most opposed to world government. So they can't do it that way. If they try to do it any other way they'll wreck most major corporations that depend so much on internet to do business. So it can't be done.

Internet is going to remain free, and I believe, I've believed since I was in my early twenties, that everything that accelerates the flow of information and communication benefits the human race, and every communication jam damages us. So internet is the greatest tool, or device, or gimmick, or whatever you want to call it, for accelerating the flow of information between peoples. It is, I think, the most revolutionary force in the history of humanity since the invention of the wheel--especially when Asia and Africa get online in a major way. That's what I really look forward to."
